First Nations Worthwhile Ventures (FNWV) exists to empower First Nations people and enterprises, fostering positive impacts within Indigenous communities. We are dedicated to driving meaningful change, First Nations Worthwhile Ventures collaborates with Indigenous businesses to uplift and empower First Nations communities.
We partner with First Nations individuals to establish sustainable enterprises that amplify social impact, providing the necessary knowledge for operating successful and enduring businesses, ultimately paving the way for genuine self-determination.
FNWV is the next evolution of Worthwhile Ventures. It will build on the proven pro bono business model that WV has used with for-profit businesses over the past 8 years, but with a focus on assisting impact-driven businesses.
FNWV will apply the lessons learned from past interactions with First Nations businesses to the First Nations social enterprise (FNSE) community. Our previous model will seamlessly transition to assisting FNSEs in building their capacity and knowledge.
By strengthening FNSEs, we can help them continue to uplift Indigenous people, which is a vital part of achieving true self-determination, especially for the most disadvantaged communities. Additionally, the interaction of providing expertise and time from the wider community to Indigenous people, helping them gain the knowledge to build strong and viable enterprises, can be a significant contribution to the reconciliation process.
